Differences between Piaget & Vyogtsky

Post by bhague » Thu Apr 11, 2013 10:52 am

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: support the development of children
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Im trying to understand the differences between piaget and vygotsky. Could someone please let me know if im on the right track or if i have them mixed up??? Thanks

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
So far i have simplified it by Vygotsky is about trail and error and letting the child figure it out them selfs?
And piaget is more about adults directing the child , (stopping the child from hurting itself), and adults having a big part in ther learning?

I think i have over thought this question and now im totally confused. I may even have them mixed up....
Thanks
