CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically

Post by simone is the best » Wed May 18, 2016 1:06 pm

hi can anyone help I so lost,

1 Jill, an educator is caring for a child and begins to suspect the child is at risk of being abused by her father. Jill also suspects the mother is experiencing domestic violence. The educator raises her concerns with the child’s mother and because Jill has developed a positive relationship with the mother and child, she is considering offering both the mother and child to live with her temporarily.
Explain what you would do if you were the educator in this situation considering ethical responsibilities in the work place, along with organisational policy and procedures. In your answer also consider the importance of boundaries between clients and co-workers and consider mandatory reporting guidelines
Community and Children’s Services

2) A colleague tells you she drank heavily the night before and is still under the influence of alcohol and feels unwell. She tells you not to tell anyone at the centre and promises you this will not be a regular occurrence.
What action would you take? Would you maintain the confidentiality of your work colleague, or would you let your centre director know. In your answer make reference to your Duty of Care responsibilities

Describe what action you would take to resolve the following dilemmas considering your Duty of Care Responsibilities and Confidentiality Principles.
a) Your centre director informs you that the organization you work for has an unwritten policy of not accepting children from lesbian, gay or transgender families. You acknowledge your centre director’s position has been influenced by their religious beliefs, but you are unsure whether their actions are ethical and lawful.
What action could you take? What changes to work practices and codes of conduct could be made to meet your legal and ethical responsibilities?
What action could you take?
I would explain to the director, that children and parents have the right to have equal opportunity’s, regardless of the sex, language, race, religion. We should accept the children as they have the right to attend.
What changes to work practices and codes of conduct could be made to meet your legal and ethical responsibilities?
I would make sure that every child and the families that attend the day care centre, sex, language, race, religion. We must respect all culture and choose

Thanx All
