CHCFC301A Determining appropriate language and approach

Post by Steffelz » Wed Feb 15, 2012 2:33 pm

Hey guys, Ive sort of answered this question, but I feel like its lacking, but im not sure.
The QUESTION is:
How would you determine the appropriate language and approach to use with each child?

And my answer so far is:
- Observation
- Get to know the children individually
- Consider the childs age and developmental stage.

If anyone could help me out, it'd be great
Thanks
Stef

Hi Steffelz..

Yeah the points you made in your answer seem alright. That's what different approaches I would take if I was to assess a child's language development. Maybe you could also include something about the child's family and background. If a child speaks another language other than english at home then obviously their language development won't be as fluet as australians. So its important I think to also talk to the child's family about the language practices they use at home.
