CHCCS400BC - work within a relevant legal and ethical framework

Post by Betty123 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 10:18 am

Hi everyone, I am back to assignment work and have questions regarding one of my task.
Task 1:Legislation
Q. In approx. 2 sentences explain how each of the following Acts, Codes, Guidelines, International Treaties and Declarations relate to your work as an educator in a children's service.... Q9. If you were unsure of how the above documents linked to your work role, who would you ask to seek clarification?

A. I am thinking coworkers and/or Director/Co-ordinator of the centre...any thought?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Betty

Hi Betty,

The first question is asking you why those documents (listed) is important to you when working in childcare. You could respond with something like: "When working in childcare is is our duty of care to take on the responsibility of each individual child under our care. The documents mentioned enabled us to follow strict and necessary guidelines in order to keep each child safe and secured in the centre environment". I agree with what you responded for your second question... Talk to the centre director if you are unsure about anything.

Cheers :geek:,

Hi Yvonne here. I also am studying the Cert 111 in Childrens services Can anyone help me to ascertain if these questions are covered by legislaiton
or in the information explained elsewhere.

Question 1 Supervision in the yard.
Question 2 Ensuring children are always supervised.

I was thinking that it would come under Legislation of to provide a Duty of Care to Children and their families??

Anyone agree or would it not?

Thank you for your advise.

I answered with this:

"If I was unsure of how the above documents were linked to my role, I would ask my immediate supervisor or my director to seek clarification (or since I am studying one of the wonderful support teachers)."

Staff, management and parents are needed to develop, review and modify policies.

Sorry for the double post, I'm new here.

First post was to answer "Betty123"'s question and the second post was to answer "Aanisah008"'s question.
