CHCCS400A key areas

Post by Steffelz » Sun Nov 13, 2011 7:07 pm

Hey all, starting a new chapter, and I was just wondering if anyone could let me know if im on the right track,
the question is:
Identify five key areas that are included in service/centre policies that relate to the performance of your work role.
and my answer is below
- Be able to observe signs and symptoms of children and young people at risk of harm
- Comply with lawful instructions, regulations and duty of care in all work activities
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Accurately record relevant circumstances in relation to risk of harm according to organisation procedures, ethics and legal requirements
- Protect the rights of the children and young people in the service.

thanks for your time guys :)

Hey Steffelz.

I just had a quick glance at a policy and procedure manual and I noticed that there are a few different areas that the policies are categorized in.

1. Principles
2. Program Policies
3. Administration
4. Preventative Health & Hygiene
5. Staff

In each of the above categories, there are the related policies and procedures. For your question, it asks for policies related to work performance. You could add each of the categories above with the relevant policy. For e.g.

1. Principles - Children's Services Code of Conduct
2. Program Policies - Anti Bias/Honoring Diversity
3. Administration - Confidentiality
4. Preventative Health & Hygiene - Child Protection Mandatory Reporting
5. Staff - Child Protection In The Workplace

Basically, I used your response to catergorize into 5 key areas. I'm not sure if this is what the question is asking but this is my understanding from it....

Hopefully this helps!

Cheers :geek:,
