STANDARD 5.1 ELEMENT 5.1.1: Interactions with each child are warm and responsive and build trusting relationships.
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Molly (6 Months)
Molly’s parents informed the educator, Sue, that when she is tired she rubs her eyes and cries. When she is settling for a sleep, Molly likes to hold the satin edge of a baby blanket. After lunch time Sue notices Molly is restless and rubbing her eyes. She picks Molly up and says, ‘Are you sleepy Molly?’ Molly snuggles into Sue’s shoulder. As Sue changes Molly’s nappy, she talks softly to her. Sue sits on the lounge with Molly in her lap and feeds Molly her bottle. Molly ‘holds’ the bottle but Sue continues to give her attention and sings Molly’s favourite song. When Molly has finished her bottle she is giving signs of being very drowsy so Sue follows Molly’s familiar rest time routine and stays with Molly until she is asleep. All the sleeping babies are continually monitored.
How has this principle been demonstrated?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?

But i don't have clear idea what i have to explain here? Please help me. So that I can get a clear idea about how to do the rest of the scenarios.

"How has this principle been demonstrated?" It's unclear WHICH principle the question is referring to. Do you know which principle they are asking you to write about? That's your first problem. If you know which principle they want you to write about, then look at the principle and what it discusses. Then you need to link that principle with the scenario. I'll explain with the element 5.1.1 that you included in your post...

You could write something like: Sue demonstrated adherence to the standard in her practice by being aware of the baby, Molly's, non-verbal cues that she is tired. Sue have Molly one-on-one attention while she got her ready for sleep, by talking softly to her, singing to her, staying with her until she fell asleep and by following Molly's familiar rest time routine. Sue's interactions with Molly during this time were intuitive, sensitive, responsive, and unique to Molly's individual needs and preferences.

Hi KatyAkachan,
The principle regarding the question is "Interactions with each child are warm and responsive and build trusting relationships" this is what National Quality Standard Quality Area element 5.1.1 refers.
i answered for this question like below:
Molly’s parents shared the informations about their child with the educator, so that Sue acknowledge and respond immediately by seeing Molly’s body movement and her facial expressions that she is feeling sleepy. With Warm and responsive care, Sue took her and communicate using warm words. Here it helps her to reduce the stress. A sense of trust from the sensitive attunement of a nurturing caregiver-Molly dyad, which provide a secured attachment and it helps her to try new things and to develop a sense of confidence, which encourages learning.
Interactions with children make secure attachments and it helps children feel safe, and this feeling of safety is a strong base from which children can explore the world and learn from each new experience. A warm, responsive emotional climate between the educator and Molly is demonstrated by close physical proximity, matched affect, calm voices and respectful language. Constant and consistency of care is important in promoting responsive relationships with children, and in supporting children to develop trusting relationships with educator. Here those care demonstrated through Sue changes Molly’s nappy, offers milk and helps her to sleep by singing Molly’s favourite song and stayed until she is asleep. Also all the sleeping babies are continuously monitored. It shows the educators warm, responsive care and they “creating a sense of belonging” for all children.

Please confirm me that whether I answered in correct way, or should i change or modify it. Thanks for your support.
Regards,
Anu.
