Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCCN3058: Assessment 2
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Explain how an educator would meet an 8month old baby’s individual routines, rhythms, preferences and/or cues?
&
What would the rest need be for an 8month baby, and how should these be accommodated in the care environment?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I'm totally lost on these questions..
By taking time and building r'ships with the baby would help us meet their routines etc but what are rhythms and preferences???
how do you accommodate individual sleep routine in care?

Maybe this can help you out:

Q1:
- Engage and interact with them
- Implementing home routine while in care
- Follow up on their interests through observing, talking to parents
- Respond to their body language (yawning, rubbing of eye for tiredness).
- Become familiar with their routine, cues etc.

Q2:
An 8 month old baby will probably have 2 sleeps. One on the morning and one in the afternoon. During baby’s sleep time they should be placed in a sleep room where they can get their rest without being disturbed, in a well ventilated and comfortable quiet room. The times of their sleep should be given by the parents and followed through like at home.

Hope this helps,
