Your Question?
When Kelly, an educator answers the phone during a busy morning at a child care service, she is surprised to find Molly's mother, Sandra, upset and angry in the line. Molly is 3 years old and has been attending the service since she was 2. Sandra says "I'm very upset. Molly was very quiet when she came home last night and this morning I discovered a hand shaped bruise on her back, when I was giving her a bath. When I asked Molly how she got it, she said someone had hit her. I wasn't told of any incident when I picked Molly up last night, and I'd like to make a complaint."
Q1: whose rights have been ignored in this case?
Q2: how could Kelly support Sandra to express her concerns?
Q3: what should jelly do next, now that she has been made aware of a compliant?
Q4: if Sandra makes a complaint, but is not satisfied with the outcome, what should jelly do? Who should she refer Sandra to?
