The Victorian Government will provide each child starting funded Three-Year-Old Kindergarten or Early Start Kinder in 2022 with a Kinder Kit containing fun, play-based and environmentally sustainable learning materials that they can keep for themselves.
The custom-made, colourful kits were compiled with the support of a panel of leading early childhood and sustainability experts and will highlight to families the value of play-based learning and the importance of a quality kindergarten program that complies with the National Quality Framework, is evidence-based, and is led by a teacher.
The Kits will include easy-to-follow guides and ideas that show how parents and carers can help boost their child’s learning and development through play at home. This guidance will also be available in a range of community languages.
