The childcare operator of two Adelaide preschools at West Croydon and Newton has been fined $23,000 after failing to pay two workers full wages, leave and superannuation.

A Perth child care provider, has been recently fined $15,000 after a five-year-old girl was left alone in a locked bus for up to 15 minutes.

In Bunbury, WA a leading Childcare centre was fined $10,000 after a three-year-old escaped and walked home. The staff did not notice the boy was missing until his mother brought him back.

At a Sydney childcare centre, a toddler went missing for up to 10 minutes before staff were alerted via a headcount. Due to this incident, the childcare operators have been fined $14,000.

From Monday 22 July, Western Australia had introduced the new No Jab, No Play legislation. This means that children who aren't fully immunised can be banned and excluded form childcare services. Operators who enrol an unimmunised child or a child whose immunisations aren't up to date also face a severe fine (up to $10,000).

An FDC Educator, from Canning Vale, was recently fined $2000, after failing to tell Parents that she had temporarily lost their 2-year child.

On, 8 December 2017 an incident took place at Brunswick Head OOSH, where a 6-year-old child left the service through an unfenced area of the school. 

An early childhood service operated by the University Of Wollongong has been fined more than $3000 due to giving a child food that they were allergic to twice in 6 months.

Camp Australia in the past 6 years have had a variety of fines enforced against them due to safety breaches such as letting children wander away from their service to not having enough staff to supervise children and once again Camp Australia has been fined for its biggest sanction yet, $210,000 for keeping two sets of books to hide that they were looking after more children than their licensing permits.

A Perth childcare has been fined $10,000 after a 10-month child was bitten all over her body by another child while unsupervised at the centre last year.
