1) Vygotsky (1978) streeed the social and cultural conext of learning and observed that these contexts directly impacted on learning and behaviour. Explain why this statement is of particular importance to early childhood educators and why this is important in the context of observation skills.

I think the question is basically asking why it is important to observe children in a social context which impacts their behavior and learning, according to Vygotsky's theory.
Research Vygotsky's social-cultural theory for some back ground information. Google has a ton of information about it. This should give you a bit of an understanding on why Vygotsky's found this type of learning important.
