Coordinate the work environment CHCORG506D

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Assessment Activity 1 Contribute to and promote effective work practices
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Advanced Knowledge

Your Question?
Sorry I posted this question under someone elses same question and realised they were told to start a new topic, so thought I would.

I have on question left in this module and have been stuck on it for a while now. I've asked someone already who i'm doing my diploma though but i'm still not quite sure, and i stumbled on this website.

Basically the question is Outline some of the operational areas covered by staff work plans.

Now Im pretty sure I know what a staff work plan is.. it could be a new staff member starting for example, and the plan is done for maybe their first month at the centre.

what i'm now sure of is the operational areas... sorry if I sound thick, but i'm now sure what that bit means...

If anyone could give me some help I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks :)

Jules :)

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I have researched staff work plans. I have asked the people who I am doing my diploma through what i actually need to do for this question and they have come back with find a plan at my workplace and outline the operational areas... which just repeats the question really .

Lots of views on my question but no replies... Thanks anyway I just put what I thought for an answer and hope for the best it's right.
Doing my last module now... Almost done, stuck again, came back here to see if there is anyone stuck on same questions but even though the module code and name is the same looks like questions are different, so I will just tackle it step by step and hope for the best it's right when I come to hand it all in :)

Wish all the best and luck for those doing diploma :)

Hi Jules,

I was going through some of my Resources and I managed to find a document on how to create your own operational plan. From what I understand operational plans are basically policies and procedures that let staff and parents know the procedures the centre takes in managing different issues and each part of the early childhood setting for example:

- Administering Medication

- Storing of Foods

- Nutrition

- Sun Safety

- Reporting Accidents and Illnesses etc.

I'll attach the document below so you can have a look through it!

Good Luck with your last module!

Hi Again,

Sorry just reading through the operational manual and these are some of the topics covered by operational manuals:

Background information
Aims and Objectives
Staff a. Recruitment, Selection and Retention b. Structure c. Qualifications d. Roles e. Volunteers, students and parent helpers
Visitors
What is it like for a child here?
Working in Partnership with Parents and Carers a. Hours of Operation b. Information for Parents
Policies and Procedures a. Organisation b. Helping children enjoy and achieve c. Protecting Children from harm and neglect and helping them stay safe d. Helping children to be healthy e. Helping children make a positive contribution to the provision and the wider community

Policies and procedures are only part of the operational manual not covered by the whole thing, so I just wanted to come back and clarify that so I don't give you misleading info!

Bye Again,
