Hi
My name is Meena- this is the first time I am posting a question oj this forum- hope I am doing it right. I am working on my last assignment CHCPOL403B and I am simply stumped. I have decided to take the topic male workers in the industry and the communities feeling on thios. The community would be made up of families- children- co workers director. and I would have a quetionnaire and interview as my main ways to gather info on this. If I were to make 5 questions on this topic to ask they would be like?? Hmm what do you think is the reason there are so few male workers in this industry? why is it we dont have as many male workers as female? for families- what do they think about male workers? children can be asked the same?
My head is spinning in confusion- do tell me am I even on the right track?
regards,
Meena

Re: CHCPOL403B - Males Working In Childcare
Meena - one that comes to mind for me is - what are some positive and negatives about males in the industry. I think too many ppl jump on the negatives, but including a question about the positives would get ppl to think about some of the very positive factors of males in child care (such as chn having a positive role model for those who don't have a dad/grandad etc. in their lives)
I think you are on the right track - Make sure there are no just yes/no questions on the questionnaire - get ppl to elaborate on their answers.
I hope this helps - I have to admit I never had to do a question on this but I often do assignment tasks on gender in schooling (which is a bit of a passion of mine) and boys can sometimes need the guidance of a male to help them understand and also to help them see it is ok to make mistakes.
Having said that us females do an awesome job

thank you Cath- I have submitted my proposal lets see what comes off it. I was thinking of the positive point of view. What you said has helped me lots. I was just very very stressed with this assignment- as i was trying to get my head around it. This just felt overwhelming.
yeah -you do think boys do need a male figure around dont they? more than girls huh?
Thank you for the help and I do agree we females ROCK at what ever it is we do!

Hey Meena74 - you are more than welcome - sometimes with assignments we just tend to overthink them. It is something I was very guilty of. Hope you do well
