Re: Police check
All employees that work in government-funded or supported aged-care facilities are currently required to have a police check every five years.
You have not mentioned for which state or territory you need the Police check for. Not coming back to your questions, i.e. if police checks lapse what consequences would occur in your service?
For NSW, if a worker fails to renew their WWCC by its expiry date, they must be removed from child-related work. So, it’s better to renew your children check before the expiry date to avoid unwanted situation.
You can obtain the check for KONCHECK. It is an accredited site of ACIC and delivers the certificate fast. LINK
