Working below your qualification.

Post by melaboo » Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:29 pm

Hi,

I have a diploma in children's services, however I have very little experience and am finding it hard to find employment as most diploma positions are for room leaders.

There are a lot of Cert III positions available is it possible to be employed as Cert III even though I have a diploma?

Thanks
Mel

Yes definitely!

With a diploma you can be employed as an assistant. You will be paid more than a Cert 3, less than a room leader.

You'll be on Level 3.4 - $25.56/per hour full time.

Hope this helps!
