Re: CHCECE007 - Scenarios: Child Not Interacting and Child Told She Cant Play
Ok so even though you may not have been in these situations what would you do to help these children?
- Getting to know the child's interest and having these set up within experiences
- Encouraging the child to join in games
- Engaging with the child during activities
- Have a buddy system
- Talk about what happened
- Encourage the child to find someone else to play with
- Support the child and be empathetic
- Talk to the child who said they don't want to play and let them know how the other child is feeling
In my opinion, if a child doesn't want to play with another child I would force it. I would get them to know that the child is upset because they want to play with them etc.
Hope this helps!
