I have a four year primary teaching Degree and a Diploma ECEC. Together, ACECQA certify me as an Early Childhood Teacher and I am accredited with BOSTES.
I am employed full time at a LDC as an ECT Room Leader. What should my wages be?
Should I be paid more as a room leader?
Thanks for your advice in advance

Re: ECT Room Leader Wages...
I have had my teaching degree since 2012. I've worked as a teacher in primary schools and also as a cert 111 at my current centre for a year before I finished my diploma in November and have been working as an ECT since. This year I was appointed as ECT, a responsible person and Room Leader. I'm currently paid as the minimum level 3- four year trained ECT at a long day care centre.
Re: ECT Room Leader Wages...
I think your pay rate is fine... Since you have just completed your Diploma last year, your wages will start on the lower level then slowly increase each year. You being paid as an ECT is more than a room leader so you can't expect more unless you are 2IC or Director of the service.
