Hi
The question I am struggling to grasp at is this
"Name 5 cultural influences and/or changing cultural practices that have occurred in Australia"
Guidance: Consider their impact on diverse communities that make up Australian Society
I don't understand what this question is asking, is it asking for things that are unique to the Australian culture that have developed since colonisation ?
Eg.
1. Predominantly outdoor lifestyle
2. Growth of fast food chains
3. Sporting nation eg. Afl, Australian open, rugby league
4. Excellent health services
I feel like my answer is really irrelevant! Please help!!!!
Thanks

Re: Cultural Influences & Practices That Have Occured In Australia
I think it's referring to the different types of communities in Australia that have migrated here and have changed Australia's practices because of their influence.

Hi lorina
I've looked at those links but am still confused with what I should be picking out of those documents.
Is it asking for how our culture has developed eg. Immigration, British colonisation, work opportunities for travellers??
Very confused
Thanks

Re: Cultural Influences & Practices That Have Occured In Australia
I think you need to identify cultural practices that make Australia such as:

Comedy is an important part of the Australian identity. The "Australian sense of humour" is often characterised as dry, irreverent and ironic, exemplified by the works of performing artists like Barry Humphries and Paul Hogan.
