CHCORG614C - Key Peformance Indicators

Post by J.C » Fri Apr 29, 2016 11:38 am

Hi I am having some trouble with the following questions, I have a brief understanding of the questions although I am struggling with answering them.

4. What are the key performance indicators that could be used to measure an employee’s performance?
I understand that a KPI is like a review of performance where staff can review themselves and be reviewed on a number scale although I am not sure what the Key Performance Indicators would be to measure the performance of an employee.

5. What could you offer to help them improve their performance? Give an example of how this would work in your service?
With this I responded counseling sessions and guidance to the staff member although my assessor replied that my current answer does not address the question.

If I could receive any feedback with this it would really be appreciated.

Hi JC,

I created a staff appraisal template and I broke down each section into each quality area. For each quality area I added "key indicators" in which the educator would be appraised against. These indicators are based on responsibilities and duties that an educator will be responsible for according to their job position. You can check out the sample of this template here:

Staff Appraisal For Assistant Educator
Staff Appraisal For Lead Educator

In regards to Q5, you could offer educators to improve their skills and knowledge by attending professional development workshops which will benefit themselves and the centre by obtaining information and strategies that they can share with educators at work as well.

Hope this helps,
