CHCFC506A - Assessing Language Development

Post by jaclyn22 » Mon Oct 03, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi,

I am stumped on this question.

What tools and input from others would you use to help assess a child's language development?

I am not sure if they are asking from a professional point of view such as speech pathologists or from other team members such as using observations and monitoring and documentation.

Could you please help me clarify this.

Thanks

Hey Jaclyn,

I think for this question you can include both.... Like you mentioned observations, monitoring speech pathologists etc... Nowadays some childcare centers actually have a speech pathologist come out and access children on their language skills. So, I would include it in your response as well...

Cheers :geek:,
