Mealtimes With Children

Post by momotayeasmin » Mon May 25, 2015 8:12 pm

(i) How are the Educators ensuring appropriate supervision of the children during mealtime?
• Using child sized plates, utensils and equipment which make it easier for children to feed self.
• Encouraged children to self-serve.
• Encouraged children to scrape their own plates.
• Roster children to set the table for each meal.

(ii) List three things the Educator could do or say to engage with the children while eating or drinking
• Sit with children at meal times and talk about food.
• Encourage children to taste all the foods offered as a meal or snack.
• Offer and encourage new foods regularly, including a variety of tastes, textures and colours .

Is it correct?
