First Time Room Leader In The Babies Room

Hi I'm at a new centre, yes completely new, first time group leader and of the babies room, i feel overwhelmed and got so much to think about. Can others offer me some suggestions on where to start first, i have a day before the children start as well> thank you

Yes you ask your staff members in the babies room for any help at all, it's part of working together as a team :)

I have asked staff as i know they are an integral part of the whole child/family/community learning experience but they are more focus on their rooms, as for my assistant, she is straight from high school and doesn't know much about children or the industry, she has helped me already and i always make her feel needed and ask for her help in all areas.

Wow, first time room leader in the babies room... That's a big challenge. How's it going so far? Have you got each child's routines to follow? Have you established a program? Have you got a room routine to work within? I've also posted some tips in the following topic which you may find useful:
