Your Question?
Hi, I have to set up a play experience and a play area for children aged 4 - 7 years but I don't know the difference between both. Can you help me, please?
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I have already planned an activity but I don't know if it is a play area or a play experience. I think that the play area is the physical set up and the play experience is the activity, but I am not sure.

Re: CHC40113 - Play Experiences & Play Areas
I think you have pretty much nailed it, the two are interrelated of course but the play area is referring to the space (such as construction area, or office area) and the experience is referring to how you are going to engage children within that space (through a planned experience or just providing a provocation). In the construction area for e.g. you may wish to provide the children with some cars and trucks so the children may build roads or a city - the play area then is the construction space, the play experience is building a city, at least that's my interpretation, there are many possibilities!
