Hi Ami,

Would you be able to post or briefly describe the scenario with Sally so we can help you out with your question...

Cheers :geek:,

Sally is 12yrs old she's the eldest and likes to help out at the centre so she was asked to share her ideas discuss limitations & solve problem that may arise in relation to the indoor games she wishes to organise then if some of the ideas generated can't be implemented how would you acknowledge this and discuss possible options and alternatives with sally

Hey Ami,

Thanks for adding the scenario...

if some of the ideas generated can't be implemented how would you acknowledge this and discuss possible options and alternatives with sally

- Provide positive feedback for Sally's ideas, tell her why her ideas cannot be implemented and along with Sally come up with alternatives... For e.g..

Sally: "Let's buy some new board games so we can play"

You: "Great idea Sally but often the board games don't last because pieces go missing and they can be rather expensive..."

Sally: "Yeah ok... I got board games at home that I don't use I can bring them here"

You: "That will be great... I know how about we make our own board games"

Sally: "Yay.. how exciting!"

- Allow Sally to select and organize games from the Resources you have available.

- Talk to Sally about limitations and how she can help guide the younger children's behavior.

Remember Sally is 12 yrs old so she will be able to understand a lot more than the younger kids. As long as you're honest with why her ideas can't be implemented and provide alternative solutions then that will allow Sally to be more responsible...

Hope this helps,

Cheers :geek:,
