Child’s interest horses

Hey there as part of my key educator group I have a 2 year old who is obsessed with horses.
I want to extend on her learning but I’m not sure what experiences I should do with her.
I was going to make her, her own little book with horse picture in it.
She likes to carry around the horse puppet saying horsie.

We don’t have manny horse related toys so I’m not sure how to extended her learning / interest

You can talk about different ways horses are used - such as a horse and cart, horse riding, horse racing, horses on farms, show horses etc. what horses eat, where do they live stable, farm etc. different types of horses (colours etc).

A few more ideas...

You could set up a little farm role play corner where she “feeds” her horse puppet oats or hay and add a sorting game with horse pictures showing different colours and markings. Mix in some movement play where the kids gallop, trot, or pretend to pull a cart...tying it back to horse and cart or racing. A story basket with books, puppets, and props can spark chats about stables, farms, and show horses. Even simple art activities like painting horse silhouettes or making collage stables are a hit. And when you talk about what horses eat and where they live, you can bring in science and nature links...maybe a sensory tray with hay, oats, apples, or photos of paddocks and stables.
