Hey there as part of my key educator group I have a 2 year old who is obsessed with horses.
I want to extend on her learning but I’m not sure what experiences I should do with her.
I was going to make her, her own little book with horse picture in it.
She likes to carry around the horse puppet saying horsie.
We don’t have manny horse related toys so I’m not sure how to extended her learning / interest
Thanks any ideas will be helpful
Child’s interest horses
Re: Child’s interest horses
You can talk about different ways horses are used - such as a horse and cart, horse riding, horse racing, horses on farms, show horses etc. what horses eat, where do they live stable, farm etc. different types of horses (colours etc).
Hope this helps!

Re: Child’s interest horses
You can discuss the various uses of horses, such as the usage of a horse and cart, riding, racing, horses on farms, and other uses. what feed the horses receive, where they are housed (farm, stable, etc.), etc. many kinds of horses.

Here are a few ideas to help extend her interest in horses:
Create a sensory bin with toy horses and items like hay or grass.
Visit a local farm or petting zoo to see real horses.
Introduce her to horse-themed picture books and stories.
Organize a "horse day" with horse-themed activities, such as coloring pages, horse puzzles, or even simple horse crafts.
Play videos or songs about horses.
Encouraging her interest in different ways will help keep her engaged and excited.
