What made you laugh this week?

That is so cute L.A !

I was sitting next to the home corner and these three girls ( all 3 years old ) were playing in the toy kitchen . One of them was wearing a mattress protector as an apron . Two of the other girls started arguing about who is a big girl . The girl with the apron walked up to them and said " You are both big girls , calm down ! " it was just so funny to see her facial expressions too and she was so serious .

Children are so funny sometimes! Lol...

Sometimes, its not children who make me laugh, I got something that one of my colleagues at work said to me and this made me laugh!

Colleague: I'm going to miss you when you go
Me: you'll be alright, we'll keep in touch
Colleague: I love to come visit you, my friend and I are planning a trip to Mexico, is India anywhere near Mexico?

I started laughing so much!

I was playing in the sandpit the other day with a few of the kinder children.. This 5 year old girl was cooking all sorts of goodies, ready to sell in her shop. I asked her if I could buy one of her cakes and I asked how much it was. "It's $20.." She told me. I then handed over my 'money' and she asked me if my card was 'pin or sign!' Mum or Dad must shop often with a credit card!

Thursday last week I introduced an ice experience with my group (3-5 year olds)
I posed the question "Where does ice come from?"

Mr 3 1/2 with great conviction and assurity stated that "ice comes from Penguin World"

All this time I thought it was from the freezer. I was sooo wrong!!

Kids are hilarious
Was sitting on the verandah outside our class playing with the kids, one little girl put a small dinosaur up to my face and the conversation was as follows

Z: dinosaur is going to eat you up
Me: No No please don't eat me
Z: he is going to do damage to you
Me: no don't eat me I won't taste very good
Z: Yes you will, you are golden
Me: I am golden?
Z: (touches my face with her hand) yes your skin is golden and dark like honey so you must taste good

Was pretty funny and touching at the same time. I was blown away by this little girls thought process. Was nice to be compared to honey too

Was doing some stretching/yoga exercises with my 3 yr old class then thought would ask them to tell me what we had 2 of
"arms"
"legs"
"eyes"
"ears"
they were doing really well then one little boy patted his chest and said
"we have 2 boobies"

well he was right so what could I say!! so I said yes we do
made me laugh though and my assistant was is hysterics

Hi everyone This is my first post and what a great subject to start with. I guess working with children there is always a "what made me laugh" moment every day, but every now and then there is one that stands out. Im a room leader in a 2.5-3.7 room and the children have been interested in road safety. Wearing our seat belt has been a great discussion topic so the other day when I asked "what do we wear in the car that keeps us safe", one little boy yelled out " our dressing gown".

Yes that made my day!

And hopefully many more to come

One of our room kids came up to me holding his head and said, “I have a headache. It’s a bad one. It’s pissin’ me off.” I had to turn my head real quick and laugh. He's 4.

Want to reopen this topic because we all need to smile and laugh at times...

I was putting Miss 3 to bed last night and as she was getting tucked in and this is what happened:

Me: It's late it's time to go to sleep
Maya: I want more milk
Me: You've been chit chatting for 20 minutes and now you want more milk!
Maya: Well I have my rights sir and I'm telling I'm going to have more and more and more milk because that's what I do!

How can I argue with that!! Mission success, Maya got her cup of milk and non stop laughing from me!

Miss 3: What does it say?
Me: It says "Nokia"
Miss 3 starts knocking on the screen and I start laughing...
Miss 3: Looks up at me with a serious face and says "You said knock here".
