Setting up with recycled materials

Hi all,
Can I use recycled materials such as ripped cloth or discoloured cloth as base for animal/nature table? They are clean.

Other educators feel it is not nice-looking, showing disrespect to parents.

I m reflecting myself, it has no harm to children. I think I m showing my idea that i use what we have and role model recycling, and personally I quite like the "natural" looking, ripped cloth, you know which is like that our nature itself is imperfect and inornate.

Is it over recycled? I m quite interested what u guys think, bcs I m recycled person, I always introduce this type of ideas into setting up.

Yes. Previously ripped/cut.

I think that if the material is previously ripped or cut then I don't see a problem using this as part of the setup. Maybe you could use blu tak to stick it down to the surface so the children don't play around with it or make it look messy... I think that it's fine! Good on you for recycling!
