The following information can help:

Guide to the NQS

Guide to developing a QIP

How long are you going be director for just so I can let you know of any other documentation that needs to be done... For example: you may need to review the policies and procedures with staff, discuss programming and planning with educators, plan staff meetings etc.

Alright so during this time you will probably need to:

-Develop you QIP (attachment above will help)
-Go through the policies and procedures and note when they were last reviewed, if it was recently they can wait but if it was a couple of years ago they will need to all be reviewed against the current legislation and law.
-Have staff meetings monthly
-Do evacuation procedures monthly and fill in evacuation form of how it went
-Make sure all rooms are up to date in documentation (programming, obs, portfolios) etc.
-Go through programming and planning see if anything needs to be changed or improved (discuss with staff)
- Make sure health and safety procedures are met (all necessary forms are filled, kitchen is kept clean) etc.
- Check records such as any medication forms for the day, attendance records etc.

These are just some of the things that you may need to be required to do during your time as Director.
