Certified Supervisor on Kindy Pickup?

Post by aylajade » Tue Aug 11, 2015 1:35 pm

Just a quick question, we operate in a very small town where the Primary school is a block away. As a few of our kids attend the childcare after the Kindy half day, a staff member walks to the school and picks them up. Just wondering if there needs to be a certified supervisor on this walk. All parents who have a child to be picked up sign a permission slip and the child is signed in once they arrive rather than when they get picked up but just want to make sure that regulations are being followed.

I can't find anything in the regulations regarding this... I'm not too sure since the Kindy children are not actually "in" childcare until they have been legally signed in so I'm not too sure if the regulations apply at this point. It's probably best to contact ACECQA and get them to clarify it...
