Being Falsely Accused At Work

Post by Amandeep » Tue Jun 17, 2014 1:35 pm

I have been falsely accused at work place and given the termination letter. I refused to accept the allegation and the letter was kept back It happened on Friday and I was so stressed. On Monday I fell sick and could not go to work. I didn't receive any termination letter by e-mail also not any phone call. I just left message on answering machine as nobody picked up the phone.
I am very stressed and tense. What should I do?

So at this point you don't know if you are still working at your centre. I think that you should go to work and discuss this issue with the director to find out what is going on. If you are sick and can't go to work then ring the director and speak to them directly. Even if no one is picking up the phone call at a different time. If still no one is responding to you go in to the centre to sort this issue out... If you feel you have been treated unfairly and can provide evidence ring up Fair Work Australia who will be able to assist you legally with this matter. Here is some more info:

I'm sure it will be OK,

What are they saying you did?
You cannot & should not be terminated until the allegation had been discussed with you and they heard your response and then investigated the said allegation.
Only very serious issues result in immediate termination eg harming a child
Most other cases result in a 1st warning letter or a first & final warning if it's serious.

I would go in and speak to them.

If you are really confused call fair work and they will guide you ... Or call the union of you are a member
