There are so many institutes available where you can complete your diploma through distance learning. Some of these include:

1) Seek Learning
2) Australian Institute of Early Childhood Studies
3) Early Years Training

Have you thought about doing this at TAFE? I think this course is still funded by government when you do it through TAFE but if you were looking at doing it through a private institute it will cost more.

Hi tohot4u007,

How did you apply from Oten? How about the fee? I checked the SEEK Learning, Diploma in Children Services cost AUD 5550.

Ive done my Cert III & Diploma thru TAFE distance learning.
My Diploma was $40/unit
Private institutions are always more expensive than TAFE

Thanks Macoola. I had contacted OTEN but unfortunately Diploma in Children’s is full for 2012 enrolments. They will not be offering the course again until the end of the year :(

Oh sorry to hear Samyoyo I am not sure if AIECS is still enroling but you could ask. Although they are a bit more expensive that Tafe I can do it from overseas with them and it is the cheapest I could find out off all the colleges!!

Hope it all works out!!:)

Hi there, I am doing mine through my local Tafe. Its a 18 month online full time course and its govt funded so only paying the tafe yearly fee which is about $40 or $50. Its great!! really managable. We have 2 x 1 hr online classes a week and lots of support. Ring your local Tafe.
