Rights Of Stake Holders In Childcare

Post by trishahall14 » Sat Jan 16, 2016 6:50 pm

Hi,

I have just started my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I haven't yet had any experience in a child care centre so I have no idea about stakeholders in Childrens services Centres.

I am wondering in what document would you find information on the rights of stakeholders in childrens services centre?

Thank you

Hi trishahall14,

I am currently completely the same diploma and I was wondering if you ended up finding the answer because I can't seem to find it the text book or online.

Sarah, I don't think it's in the workbook and also I'm unable to find it on the internet, I've searched 21 websites that came up in my search.

Stakeholders are people that have a direct link to the centre so this can include:

families
educators
children
people within the community dealing with the centre
owner of the centre etc.

Stakeholders have the right to review and be consulted on policies, give feedback on the services being offered, be involved within the centre through different means etc.

Hope this helps,

I spoke to my trainer and she said the Stakeholders are another word for Clients, if your studying from the text book The Early Childhood Educator for Certificate III on page 41 under the heading Protect clients rights it actually has a list of their rights and what documents you can get detailed rights from. If you don't have that Ill be happy to copy the paragraph out of the text book for you, :)
