Policy and practice

Post by MelH » Sun Nov 18, 2018 1:19 pm

Hi there I am so sorry if this is a silly question but can you just confirm that my understanding is correct... I understand what the policy of a service means but when they talk about practice in an assignment, are they referring to the practices in the ELYF i.e.

Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships. ...
Partnerships between early childhood educators.
High expectations and equity. ...
Respect for diversity. ...
Ongoing learning and reflective practice.

My assignment question is

There are a number of Workplace policies and procedures that will relate to WHS. Fill out the table below, identifying the main policy that would be observed in a Service and one (1) practice for each.

Child protection is the first one, so would the policy be Children's Health and Safety and then the practice would be secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships??

Yes, you're on the right track!

The Practices are referring to those in the EYLF.
