Offering Before and After School Care - Supporting The Change

Post by SusanK » Sun Jun 10, 2012 4:08 pm

In order to keep the centre viable, the committee has decided to offer before and after school care. Utilise an appropriate change model to introduce and facilitate this innovation into the existing service. Detail how you would provide necessary support and motivation to guide and support this change in the workplace.?

Please can some one please help. I dont understand what kind of model to use or for that matter where to even start. Please Please Please!!! :sweating:

Hi Susan,

From your question, Im assuming that you haven't been given a "change model" template to use... I tried to search for a change model template but I have not been able to find one yet. From what I've understood so far, I think you can possibly put all the information you require into a table format, adding the necessary details. I'm not 100% sure if this is right but I guess it's one way to go.... Where to begin... Well if you are looking to add an OOSH service to a centre you will need to make sure you have the necessary space for children, work out staffing, programming and planning, travel arrangements on how to get children to and from school, opening and closing hours, licensing etc. I'm providing you with some information which may help:

Hopefully this gets you started,

Cheers :geek:,
