Diploma folio

Post by MelA » Fri Sep 14, 2012 2:32 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this, thought it could be helpful. I'm currently working on my diploma and at the end you have to hand in a folio. Just wondering if anyone has finished theirs and can help by telling me different things they included. I've got lots of bits and pieces but need help to catagorise them for the folio. Any feedback would be great.

I think this might vary from course provider to course provider. I had to submit a folio for unit CHCIC501A, Manage workplace practice and quality assurance. Is this what your folio was for?

Hi- I think you're right this seems to vary across the board. My training provider says I don't need to present a portfolio- hope she's right!

I'm doing my diploma through a TAFE in QLD through the Aspire work books. I have to submit a portfolio right at the end as part of the practical side and evidence.

I would put observations with any corresponding pics & artwork etc together.

What bits and pieces do you have? if you are more specific maybe we can help you to organise it

I would also add photos of any displays that you've personally set up... For e.g if you were doing a topic on zoo animals and you organized a great learning experience, take a photo and add that... room setups, wall displays, any reflections... Basically I think you try and show off what you've learnt!

Phew! Got in contact with my trainer- as I work in the industry ( and have done on and off over the last 20 years!!) plus as I have submitted reams of evidence for RPL of some modules, it seems I do not have to gather up additional evidence for a portfolio at the end of my diploma studies. Big sigh of relief!
