Complying With Legislation - Educational Program

Post by bubbler12 » Sun May 31, 2015 2:22 pm

Task A- Education and Care Services national Regulations
This assessment task will require you to access the Education and care service national regulations. Referring to part 4.1 of the Education and care service National regulations education program and practice, you will need to outline the legislative requirements pertaining to educational programming and practice for children "Prescholl age or under". explain how the service where you are working complies with the legislative requirements

What I have so far-
At the Good Start Early Learning Centre that I am currently working at complies with the legislative requirements because the educational programming and practice is a program that works in conjunction with the Belonging, Being and Becoming- The Australian Early Years Learning Framework learning outcomes- children have a strong sense of identity, children are connected with and contribute to their world, children have a strong sense of wellbeing, children are confident and involved learners and children are effective communities informs educators approach to children’s learning- intentional teaching, decision making and ongoing cycle of observation. The educators get down to the children’s level and have conversations with them, their families and boarder community to support the children in their play, teaching and interactions. The educators listen to children and use a variety of documentation to record the children’s significant experiences and their responses for their cycle of learning. For a child at the Good Start Early Learning Centre that is preschool age or under the educators assess their strengths, interests, goals and learning. Once the educators have collected the data from each child they follow it through with an ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluating the children’s learning and progress.

It's a good start but you may need to provide more information about the program, how they base the program on the child's interests etc.

Here are some examples: Guide TO The NQS

So would that mean that we work along side families to gather information and observe the child in what they like to play with
