The educators get down to the children’s level and have conversations with them, their families and boarder community to support the children in their play, teaching and interactions. The educators listen to children and use a variety of documentation to record the children’s significant experiences and their responses for their cycle of learning. For a child at the Good Start Early Learning Centre that is preschool age or under the educators assess their strengths, interests, goals and learning. Once the educators have collected the data from each child they follow it through with an ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluating the children’s learning and progress.
