Your Question?
I have been asked to describe a method of observation that is appropriate for determining a childs capabilities for wach of the following areas:
-physical
-emotional
-cognitive
-social
-creative
-language
-spiritual and/or moral aspects


What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
- physical - video recording
- emotional - video recording (?)
- cognitive - learning story
- social - anecdotal
- creative - artworks with a short anecdote and photo (if possible)
- language - audio recording/tape
- spiritual and/or moral aspects - event sampling


Description and Message:
I'm ok with the description of each observation method, I just wanted to know if you guys think my answers are okay, or do some of them need to be changed. I am especially unsure of the method of observation for enotional.

You can also add photo observations, time samples, developmental milestones, sociogram, jottings... These are all different types of observation methods that can be used when observing a child.

We have already had users on the forum ask similar questions about methods of observing children...

Thank you.

It was just a lottle hard for me to go back to search the forum cause I use my phone to do all this and hand wrote my assignments - no laptop or tablet. Sometimes the pages take too long to load or they are just hard to scropl through, but thank you for the links - they helped with other questions of this unit and made me aware od other methods of observations.
