2.Opportunity to assess children’s progress over time but these need to be supported with descriptive jottings to provide the context.

4.Can be used for either individual or groups of children. Detail events that happened during the day. Can include narrative and visual (photos/work samples).

Hi H.T,
Please be patient when posting up assignment questions. Here is some info to help you out.
diary journal- is useful in helping the carer to construct a child profile. When behaviour is recorded in a diary over a period of time, the tracking of development and growth can occur.
event sampling - can give an indication of the reasons why a particular behaviour occurs. It can help assess what sparks a certain reaction in a child.
time sampling - it is used to record the occurrence of a child’s behaviour at particular times of day, for example group time or meal times.
learning stories - a format used to document a child’s or group of children's learning. It uses “story telling” to describe a child’s learning process. There are many details that are incorporated into a learning story which recognizes and describes the learning that is taking place through a child’s play.
samples of work artefacts - an assortment of work samples collated over a period of time can help trace the child’s development.
Cheers ,
