Post by vivi » Fri Jul 05, 2013 1:06 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Foster Children's Aesthetic and Creative Development CHCFC508A
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
I am a little on stuck on the Assessment Activity Part A, question 1: Describe two visual arts experiences that could be used to stimulate a child's experience of art and beauty...

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
For the two year old I have decided to do finger painting with paint and salt.
As the answer needs to be in-depth I am a little stuck on as to how I should write it!
So far I have..... Finger painting with paint and salt.....Stimulates a child's experience of art and beauty by using touch (smoothness of paint, roughness of sand etc.)
Is this the idea? please help me!!!!

This is my answer I hope this helps
2YRS OLD Finger painting with shaving cream. This activity allows the children to explore their colours while helping children to refine their fine motor skills (finger and hand movements) learn about the feel of different textures (especially if paint has sand or anything in it to give extra texture) also allows them to experiment with hand/finger movements (cause and effect) - if I use one finger i get a thin line etc. also helps with language development learning words to describe things, socialize with peers and adults
5YRS OLD Dancing can help with the child's flexibility, range of motion, physical strength and stamina. The repetitive movements involved in dance can improve muscle tone, correct poor posture, increase balance and coordination. Dancing can also help with Self-Esteem.
