SCENARIO:
You have been given the role of room leader and your first task is to create an age appropriate plan forbade physical development of he children. It is important that you incorporate indoor and outdoor play in your plan.
a. What will be the key aspects of your pain?
b. What are some of the activities that will be essential to promoting physical development of toddlers?
c. What equipment will you utilise.
d. What issues will be important to consider in setting up the environment?
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
So far the responses I have are:
a. Observe and monitor children
Extend of physical development
Focus on all aspects of physical development (such as fine motor, gross motor, co ordination)
b. FM - water play, sand play, drawing/painting, play doh, beading, cutting
GM - hopscotch, races, red light/green light, balloon/bubble games, dancing, ball games/sport activities, obstacle course
Co ordination - games involving balance beams, hula hoops, some ball games
c. Balls, balance beam, hoops, obstacle course, hula hoops. Bubbles
d. Space, supervision (staff:child ratios), ability of children and their skills, safety, visual barriers, age appropriate environment

I need some help and advice on a scenario I am stuck on - I don't know whether I have the right responses or not. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

From what I've read with your response so far it all seems to be on the right track. I did notice however with the question it asks you to incorporate both indoor and outdoor play in your plan. So far you have focused more on outdoor play.
With indoor play there is a number of experiences that you can use to facilitates a child's physical development for fine motor, gross motor and co-ordination skills. Some of these include:
- painting
- drawing using different mediums such as thick crayons, chalk, textas etc.
- threading
- beading
- puzzles
- sensory experiences (bird seed, noodles, mud, shaving cream, water play although more for outdoors).
- building using different construction materials
- parachute games
I think the rest of your response is great! Just didn't want you to miss out on the indoor play...
