CHCECE021 - Consulting For Services In Relation To Additional Needs

Post by kyles2412 » Sun Jun 05, 2016 7:59 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCECE021 IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES FOR THE INCLUSION OF ALL CHILDREN (SUPPORTING INCLUSION)
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Doing Prac
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
As part of the services inclusion policy educators may be required to consult/liaise with a specialist service or agency in relation to a child with additional needs.

List three reasons how this practice supports services to be inclusive.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I have searched my resources high and low regarding information for this question however I can not find anything to help me with this. I have also tried searching the internet but still no luck any help would be greatly appreciated or a guide as to where I can have a look. The resources that I was given are as follows: http://community.fpg.unc.edu/sites/comm ... ndouts.pdf

So far I have come up with this however I have no idea if this is even a little bit correct so any help would be great appreciated.
1) By ensuring that families have roughly equal power as practitioners in making decisions
2) By having confidence in the child’s and families future possibilities and sharing with families that often people place too much emphasis on the child’s needs and that you would like to also focus on the child’s strengths
3)

I have also managed to come up with this please advise if I am on the right track or where I could possibly look for more information.

By consulting and liaising with a specialist you will be able to adapt specific routines and experiences to maximise the child’s opportunities for independent participation and to help ensure that every child has opportunities to belong, being and become in all of their life contexts

To seek information about the role of the others
To seek information about the specific intervention strategies being used by others
To clarify how those working with the children best coordinate roles and functions
