CHCECE020 Establish and implement plans for developing cooperative behaviour

Post by Yolanda » Fri Jun 08, 2018 1:59 pm

Hey all,

Need some ideas as I can t think of any. Its been one of those kinds of weeks.

The SCENARIO is:
Joshua is 3 years old and has been coming to your long day care service for 3 weeks. From observing Joshua’s behaviour and interactions, it is clear that he has a strong temperament and resists following directions from female educators or girls. Joshua does not help at pack up time and likes to be first in all activities and routines. He will only play with other boys and, at meal times, will only sit at a table with boys – if a girl approaches, he will tell her to go away. He has often sworn at some girls when they insist on playing in the same area or sitting at the same table. You are aware that Joshua is being raised by his father alone and that he has no other siblings or close relatives. Joshua’s father does not speak to the educators very much and shows little interest in what Joshua does at the service.

The question is Explain in detail, how you will work with Joshua’s father to help Joshua develop socially appropriate behaviour.

Thanks for any help
Yolanda
