What support and resources can Rebecca provide to help the design decisions

case study

1. in this particular group of children, what factors will influence the language style used by the staff members when interacting with the children? what expectations do staff have for the children behavior

4. Image that you are a caregiver in this room. You become abit concerned when you hear the following comments from the children

With Scenario 2:

How can you document children's ideas? Help them draw a layout or a plan, write everybody's ideas down and discuss which ones are suitable to implement, asking open ended questions to get them thinking outside the box etc. What can you provide to help the children with the design? What safety considerations do the children need to be aware of?

Case Study:

When you hear comments like this being made by children you need to talk to them positively about what they had observed and explain to them about the comments they made. Children are fairly honest and they will basically tell it like it is. So, for the first example "you've got a funny dress on " you just need to explain positively about why the child is wearing a dress like that. Do your own research, talk to the parents, find out about the child's culture and incorporate it into the children's learning experiences to make them more aware of the similarities and differences between people. You could basically use the same idea for the other examples as well...
