CHCECE005 Provide care for babies and toddlers

Post by smallsmall99 » Sun Jul 02, 2017 7:40 pm

Identify one safe work practice. Identify one way your work practices could be made safer.

My answer is:
All safety areas should be regularly reviewed and, where necessary, action taken to reduce potential injury or harm to children.

But please help with " Identify one way your work practices could be made safer"
I don't quite get what it means

THank you :)

For this question you need to identify one safe work practice that you do within a centre. For example supervising children during outdoor play.

I need help with this question.
Sleep Routine - Molly
Molly (6mths) attends the centre 3 days per week. She has been in care for 6 weeks and she and educator Sue are forming a secure and nurturing relationship.
During the orientation period Molly’s mother, Kath, shared a great deal of information with Sue about Molly’s care routines - Molly likes to hold her bottle when feeding; when she is tired she rubs her eyes and pulls on her ears; when she is settling for a sleep, she likes to hold the satin edge of her baby blanket.
Around 9.30 am Sue notices Molly rubbing her eyes and pulling her ears. She picks Molly up and says, “Are you sleepy Molly?” Molly snuggles into Sue’s shoulder. As Sue changes Molly’s nappy, she talks softly to her. Sue sits on the lounge with Molly in her lap and gives Molly her bottle. Sue allows Molly to hold the bottle. Sue softly sings Molly’s favourite song.
When Molly has finished her bottle she is looking very drowsy. Sue places Molly in the cot with her satin edged blanket. Sue stays with Molly until she is asleep.
QUESTION:a. How has Sue used care information provided by the family to meet Molly’s individual care needs?

In the scenario it mentions that the mother had told Sue about Molly’s care routines, so using this information Sue follows the same routine that Molly uses at home, with Molly at the service...

Re-read the scenario, it mentions it in there...

help needed with the following question

For each stage of development listed below, indicate at least two (2) safe and two (2) unsafe practices for working with infants. Indicate in the space provided which stage of development you are responding to.
a) Infants not yet crawling
b) Infants crawling and beginning to walk

Any info on where to find this info would be appreciated
