Hi everyone,
I am doing this question and don't know how to answer this question correctly. Any help will be great and appreciated. As I understand relief staff as below.
Thanks so much
Kathy
Explain how you ensure that new or relief educators are informed of supervision arrangements and what they are required to do in relation to supervising children?
Relief staff then you get a fixed amount of hours during the week. For example, you could be working a lunch time shift 12pm - 2pm for other staffs going for a break .I think the only difference with being a relief staff is, you'll always be first choice for that specific centre in relation to someone calling in sick, someone going on holidays etc). I'm pretty sure as a relief staff member you should be given a set amount of hours during the week.

Re: CHCECE002 - Relief Staff Informed Of Supervision Requirements
Hi Kathy,
The question asks how to make sure new and relief staff know where and to supervise children within the environment. For example:
- you could have a layout plan of the indoor/outdoor environment and highlight which areas staff need to be in order to supervise
- you could have a notice in the staff room and in each room on supervision.
-each room leader can talk to new staff on arrival about supervision requirements.
Hope this helps,
,
Lorina
