CHCCS400C - Scenario: No Milk Only Juice

can someone please help me with these questions to give me an understanding for the next two questions thanks :)

Instructions:
A parent tells you not to give her 13-month-old child any milk, only juice. She feels that the child has enough milk when at home. At sleep time, the child will not settle down to sleep and constantly asks for milk. Ten minutes later, you find a co-worker has given the child a bottle of milk. When you explain the mother's wishes, she responds, 'I think the mother is being cruel - just don't mention it'.
a) What is your role in the situation?
