Finished Cert 3 - Should my pay go up?

I started my traineeship after year 10. I finished my traineeship in March this year (2025) along with my Cert 3. I have a contract with the Council (who owns the childcare centre) that finishes in January 2026. My pay rate is $18.67/hour. This was my trainee wage since the start of 2025. Should I be paid more since I have my Cert.3? or because I have a contract that goes until January 2026 do I get paid trainee wages until Jan 2026 even though I finished my traineeship in March? It says ... Train yr10 2... on my payslip.

I recently finished my traineeship as well and I just got my back pay because I asked for that.

My certificate dated on the 5th march, I received email on the 14th March, I send the certificate to my director on the 23th March.

But the pay slip 2 weeks after I still had my trainee rate so I called MEGT the government company that sign the traineeship contract between my company, me and the government; they said I should get pay from the date I finished my traineeship contract which mean the 2nd of April because they know the traineeship contract would be finished if I got the certificate.

I sent email to my director said that I called MEGT and asked fair Work Australia about when I should get my new pay is from the 5th March, they agree and give me new rate also give me back pay from the 5th March as well.

So you should ask for and you should get the new pay rate as it's your right and it's fair pay following Fair Work Australia's guidelines.
