Concern about traineeship

Post by Misse84 » Sun May 01, 2011 4:07 pm

Hi ,

I am starting my traineeship in childcare III next week. I am 26 but have not finished school. I am really worried that that will mean I can't enrol in the course. Or is it Ok since I am older ?
I will be doing this through TAFE
thanks !

Hi Bubuella,

You will be able to enroll in the course because you are over 18. If you didn’t complete your year 12 certificate I think you may have to take a literacy and numeracy test (which TAFE will provide) just to make sure you know the basics. Now I’m not 100% sure if this is correct??

Did you get your year 10 certificate?

Just to confirm are you doing a certificate 3 traineeship at a childcare centre?

Cheers :geek:,

Hi LA

Thank you for your reply !

I didn't have any problems after all , was just worried that there will be problems since I finished school at 16 overseas.

Just panicked a little ;)

Thank you for your help.
